Custom Medical Grade Pebax Tubing (Shore 25D – 74D
Pebax Tubing s an engineered high performance polyether block amide that allows medical device designers to push the boundaries on strength and flexibility。 Pebax material has excellent processability due to consistent melt flow, a narrow processing temperature range across a wide modulus spectrum, and uniform molecular weight distribution (minimal gels), all of which contribute to the ability of pebax foam resin to be extruded in thin wall sections down Pebax tubing medical ,PEBAX 7233 PEBAX5533 AOKRAY custom pebax sa01 sp01 2533/3533/4033/4533/5533/6333/7233 medical grade with Barium .Pebax tubing medical size as ID0.01″-0.472″ ,Wall 0.0019″-0.118″ (Get PEBAX.pdf ) ,Aokeray also custom Pebax heat shrink tubing Aokeray is a premier OEM manufacturer specializing in medical-grade Pebax tubing custom extrusions for advanced interventional catheters and delivery systems. Why is Pebax preferred over standard Nylon or Polyurethane in catheter manufacturing?
Pebax (Polyether Block Amide) bridges the gap between the mechanical properties of rubbers and thermoplastics. It offers a broader range of hardness (25D to 74D), superior kink resistance, outstanding elastic recovery, and low low-temperature brittleness, making it the industry standard for torque-transmitting catheter shafts.
Can you customize Pebax tubing with varying hardness along a single tube length?
Yes. We manufacture customized tapered and bump tubing, as well as variable-stiffness extrusions. This allows the catheter shaft to seamlessly transition from a stiff proximal zone (e.g., 72D) to a highly flexible distal tracking zone (e.g., 35D) without requiring manual thermal welding
What radiopaque fillers do you add to Pebax, and what are the standard concentrations?
We standardly compound custom Pebax with Barium Sulfate BiSO4 or Bismuth TrioxideBi2O3, typically at concentrations of 20% or 30% by weight. We can also source custom loading percentages based on your specific visual density and wall thickness requirements.
Does your Pebax tubing support thermal bonding with other fluoropolymers?
Pebax bonds exceptionally well with other polyamides and can be easily reflowed over chemically etched PTFE liners or FEP heat shrink liners using standard FEP heat shrink reflow processes
Is your Pebax tubing bio-compatible and regulatory compliant?
Yes, all our custom Pebax extrusions utilize virgin resins that are fully compliant with USP Class VI and ISO 10993 bio-compatibility standards, ensuring safe long-term and short-term interventional human body use.

Information needed for a medical Pebax tubing review
Provide the drawing or specify the Pebax grade or hardness requirement, nominal ID, OD, wall thickness, dimensional tolerances, cut length or coil format, color or radiopaque requirement, assembly process, sterilization method, prototype quantity, annual demand and requested quality documents.
Pebax grade and hardness affect flexibility, recovery, kink response and processing, but grade alone does not define finished-component performance. The complete shaft construction, reinforcement, geometry, additives, thermal history and device validation must be considered before a material and dimension are confirmed.
