etching PTFE liner tubing

PTFE is a non-stick material that is resistant to high temperatures and corrosion and is very smooth, and is widely used in military medical food, etc . However, when it needs to be bonded to the surface of another material, or in order to bond standard PTFE to another surface while combining the advantages of […]

Polyurethane TPU flexible tubing Features

TPU flexible tubing TPU has biocompatibility and anti-coagulant properties, medical TPU tubing is increasingly widely used. Such as blood vessels, ureter, infusion tubes. TPU does not contain enhancers, non-toxic and tasteless

Ptfe tubing flexible Features

1, high chemical stability: can withstand all strong acids, including aqua regia, hydrofluoric acid, concentrated hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, fuming sulfuric acid, organic acids, etc., strong bases, strong oxidizing agents, reducing agents and a variety of organic solvents. ptfe tubing flexible is very suitable for high-purity chemical feeding material use.  2, low coefficient of friction: […]

PTFE liner in medical applications

Application of PTFE liner in ventral hernia repair case Ventral hernia is the most common general surgery disease, and most of them are inguinal hernia, and surgical treatment is the accepted cure. In 2021, a total of 859 tension-free hernia repairs were performed in our department, 767 cases (89.3%) in men and 92 cases (10.7%) […]

Who are the Microcatheter Market and Manufacturers in China?

The coronary microcatheters available in China can be divided into first-line working microcatheters with flat tip design, dilating/penetrating microcatheters with tapered tip design, dual-lumen microcatheters, and other innovative microcatheters. First-line working microcatheters are the preferred clinical microcatheters, accounting for approximately 80% of the total microcatheter volume. The most classic first-line working microcatheter is the Finecross […]

How did microcatheter technology evolve?

The second phase Microcatheter (1980s to early 21st century) was the emergence of early interventional microcatheters, with the development of the Magic microcatheter and Tracker microcatheter in France and the United States since the 1980s, which had a progressively thinner front end and could be bent at will, and the advent of digital subtraction X-ray […]

micro catheter with Medical Tubing ETCHED PTFE LINER

The micro catheter is a very small diameter reinforced catheter with no strict size definition, but is often empirically referred to as a microcatheter with an outside diameter of 0.70 to 1.30 mm. Microcatheters can be used for guidewire support/exchange, passage of lesions, delivery of embolic agents, stenting, etc. The microcatheter is composed of a […]

PTFE Etched Tubing Liner

Etched PTFE Liner -Aokery

medical grade is an amazing non-stick material, but what happens when you need to glue it to the surface of another material? In order to put it on (for example, stainless steel), a process called “etching” is required. Typical applications include the lining of chemical processing tanks or other equipment used in harsh environments. When bonding is required, sodium ammonia is used.Etching is performed by placing the fluoropolymer tubing in a sodium solution. The resulting chemical reaction removes fluorine molecules from the carbon-fluorine backbone of the fluoropolymer leaving carbon atoms that are deficient in electrons. When the etched surface of the material is exposed to air, oxygen molecules, water vapor, and hydrogen allow restoration of the electrons. This restoration process results in a group of organic molecules that enables adhesion

When PTFE needs to be bonded to another surface, such as a stainless steel body for a medical device, etching uses a mixture of sodium and ammonia that is formulated to produce a bondable surface quickly and efficiently. Sodium/ammonia etching services meet all applicable commercial, military and federal specifications for surface treatments of all fluoropolymers including: PTFE, PFA, FEP, ETFE, PCTFE, PVDF, PVF and ECTFE. The process can be accomplished on one or more surfaces or selectively within close tolerances.
Note etched tubing PTFE : The etched surface will discolor to a brown appearance.
Can be etched on one side (EOS) (standard) or both sides (E2S).

We now offer a wide range of extruded and etched tubing PTFE heat shrink tubing in a variety of sizes and wall thicknesses as thin as 0.001. Extruded tubing can be etched for easy bonding; most of our ultra-thin tubing can be used with a tolerance of +/-0.013MM.
